1. NOVEMBER DESTINATION: TAIWAN

If you have time, visit both!

2. CITYBREAK IN HONG KONG

Why not combine your Taiwan adventure with a short hop over to Hong Kong? Just a quick flight away, you can experience two incredible destinations in one trip! Hong Kong in November is perfect for those looking to escape the cold. Warm weather makes it ideal for exploring everything this amazing city has to offer.

You will get to experience towering skyscrapers, beautiful temples, bustling markets, and serene parks. It is a place where East truly meets West.
3. TOP NOVEMBER ESCAPE: MEXICO

Mexico in November is amazing. The intense summer heat starts to mellow, so exploring Mexico becomes much more comfortable. One of the highlights of visiting in November is experiencing the famous Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations.

This deeply meaningful holiday honours loved ones who have passed, with colourful altars, lively parades, and offerings of flowers, food, and candles. It is a truly unique cultural experience that shouldn’t be missed if you are visiting Mexico in November!

We found the most dreamy island in Mexico, called Holbox. It is a hidden gem that not all travellers get to visit. You should definitely put it on your bucket list.

And while you are planning your trip, do not forget to check our guide about Holbox Island.

4. YOUR NOVEMBER HOLIDAY: SEYCHELLES

Seychelles in November is an absolute dream! With warm, tropical weather and calm seas, it is a great time to visit this paradise. On Seychelles, you will get to relax on powdery white-sand beaches, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, and explore lush nature reserves. Seychelles are picture-perfect at every turn.

5. MUST- VISIT NOVEMBER SPOT: SPAIN

Spain in November might not offer tropical heat, but don’t let that fool you because it is still an incredible destination for a late-autumn escape! In the south, particularly, you’ll find pleasantly mild temperatures, perfect for exploring without the summer crowds.

Places like Andalusia come alive with a relaxed charm in November. It is a much more enjoyable experience than battling the summer heat or being crowded with tourists. You will get to see all the famous monuments without everyone ruining your photos.

You have so many different destinations to choose from. You can visit sun-kissed beaches or historic cities like Seville and Granada. Spain in November gives you the best of both worlds: mild weather and fewer crowds. It is the ideal spot for a winter getaway with a dash of sunshine!

And if you are thinking about a city break, we have got you covered with our perfect guides for Barcelona and Valencia—be sure to check them out!

6. GO ON AN ADVENTURE IN ITALY

Italy in November may not offer the blazing summer sun, but it is still a great choice for a peaceful and pleasant getaway. The southern regions, in particular, offer warmer temperatures and, best of all, far fewer crowds.

You can explore iconic sites like Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, or Sicily. Travelling becomes so much easier and more enjoyable without the summer heat or the hustle and bustle of peak season.

November is the perfect time to experience Italy’s rich history and enjoy its world-renowned cuisine. You can experience the country’s charm at a more relaxed pace. If you decide to wander through ancient ruins or enjoy a delicious meal in a quiet piazza, Italy in November feels like a hidden gem.

7. VISIT THE PERFECT NOVEMBER DESTINATION: LAOS

Laos is not a country that is usually on the list of most travelers. We decided to visit this hidden gem in November, and we had the most perfect weather. This landlocked country is nestled between Thailand and Vietnam. In November, it offers tropical weather with a lot of sunshine.

You can visit the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang or go to backpackers’ heaven Vang Vieng. In Laos, you can decide if you want to relax or do adventurous activities. You will find the best combination of both worlds. You can check our 7-day Laos Itinerary that offers a perfect mix of culture and adventure.

Mahe is the largest island in Seychelles. Did you know that Mahe has the world’s smallest capital called Victoria? One of my favourite activities to do in Mahe was visiting the Takamaka rum distillery and their rum tasting. It was a little bit of a challenge to find vegan food on this island but in this article, I listed the best options that I found.

Nearby the capital Victoria you can visit Botanical Gardens. There are also many hiking trails around Mahe island but at the time we were visiting (the end of March) it was too hot for us. Even staying in shade was too hot at the time, so hiking was not an option. Do not forget to rent a car when travelling to Mahe. The island is quite big and everything is accessible by car.

BEACHES ON MAHE

The two best beaches on Mahe are Anse Intendance and Petite Anse. Anse Intendance was a beautiful beach, but it was not the best for swimming. The waves and currents are really strong. There is a Summer Bar where you can get the best vegan smoothies with or without rum.

Petite Anse was the most beautiful beach on Mahe but it was quite a hike to get there. You have to park your car outside the Four seasons resort and walk downhill to the beach. Bring with you a lot of water and snacks, because the restaurants on the beach are available only for hotel guests. This beach has perfect turquoise water but the waves and currents here are also very strong so it is not ideal for swimming.

The most touristy part of Mahe island is Beau Vallon. There are many hotels, restaurants and some shops. The beach there was not our favourite but there are restaurants with vegan options like Mahek, The Boat house restaurant, and Wooden house café.

VEGAN FOOD ON MAHE

In Mahe, we stayed at a self-catering apartment. There was no breakfast, so we had to explore local shops. Most of the markets have vegan milk which really surprised me. You can find almond, coconut, or soy milk but I could not find any vegan yoghurt or tofu. We were lucky and found a vegan pate!

They have frozen and some fresh vegetables, but it depends on the market. I was surprised by how hard it is to find fresh fruits and vegetables in shops. The best way to buy them is by road, there are many food stands selling fresh fruits and vegetables. When visiting the capital Victoria in Mahe, you can also check the biggest fresh fruit and vegetable market in Seychelles.

PERRY’S GRILL

Perry’s Grill is a very good restaurant on Mahe Island. The owners are really friendly, so we visited this restaurant twice. They have more vegetarian options than other restaurants in the area and some of them can be made vegan. My favourite was vegan Ratatouille, but you can also have vegetable skewers. For my side dish, I ordered french fries and a fresh tropical salad with avocado.

MAHEK – INDIAN RESTAURANT WITH VEGAN OPTIONS

Mahek restaurant is an Indian restaurant on Beau Vallon Beach on Mahe. There is only vegetarian food on their menu, but we asked the waiter about vegan options. Many of their vegetarian dishes can easily be made vegan.

We tried Urulai Broccoli and Kai Korma. Because their bread is not vegan, we had rice for our side dish. Urulai Broccoli was our favourite. The dinner was really good and the waiters there are friendly. The best time to visit this restaurant is at sunset. You can enjoy a delicious Indian dinner with a beautiful sunset.

LANSIV CAFE

It is a very nice cafe in the centre of Victoria. At the time we were there almost everything was closed so it was the only place we could stop to have some coffee. It is a nice place to sit down and relax, it is also very close to the Seychelles National Museum of History.

We stopped for some snacks, fresh juice, and coffee – they sadly do not offer any vegan kind of milk. They do not offer almost anything vegan-friendly except fresh plantain banana chips and potato fries. But it is better than nothing.

VEGAN BREAKFAST IN MAHE

Mahe is not the island where you go out for a morning coffee and breakfast. Coffee shops are not a common thing in Seychelles. Luckily there are many markets where you can buy fresh tropical fruits.

Every morning we were making tropical oatmeal for breakfast. Oatmeal cooked with banana and soy milk, topped with fresh tropical fruits like papaya, mango, and passion fruit.

THE BOAT HOUSE RESTAURANT

It is an expensive touristy restaurant in Mahe. They are offering vegan snacks like chips or salad. For the main dish, you can have vegan coconut vegetable curry with rice. You can also order many different cocktails. The curry is nothing special for the price, but it is a good option to have.

PANINI AND ICE

It is a cute little café right next to The Boat House restaurant. After our vegan curry, we were craving something sweet. Sadly, they do not have any vegan ice cream. We could not find vegan ice cream anywhere on Mahe Island. But we did get a fresh and vegan tropical smoothie.

LA CREOLE CAFETERIA AND TAKEAWAY

We stopped at this takeaway restaurant twice because it was on our way to the beach. If you plan on spending the whole day at the beach, most of the beaches do not have any close restaurants in Mahe. It is better to be prepared and bring your food with you. We had noodles with vegetables and lentils.

TAKAMAKA RUM DISTILLERY

Our favourite activity on Mahe was visiting the Takamaka rum distillery. They are offering three daily free tours at 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00. Visitors get a free tour of their land, culture, and history. For 125scr per person, you can also taste all of their rums. We were most impressed by their Overproof rum which has 69% of alcohol. You can buy everything you taste for home.

Mahe is the busiest island in Seychelles. That was the reason that it was not our favourite from this trip. Just because Praslin and La Digue are calmer the atmosphere is more relaxed. But you have to visit Mahe anyway. Nature is very beautiful, and the locals are friendly. On Mahe, you can also find some of the best resorts in Seychelles.

La Digue is not the best destination for vegan foodies, but you can find some options in restaurants and shops. The island is a definition of a perfect tropical island. It is a natural paradise. There is no traffic, and everybody is living their best stress-free island lives.

There is no nightlife on La Digue, but it is the perfect place to enjoy untouched tropical nature.

Just a short 15-minute boat ride away from Praslin, there is La Digue island. It is one of the most visited islands in Seychelles, and the cars here are almost non-existent. Everybody rides bicycles, and this is the best way to explore beautiful beaches and nature.

When riding a bike around the island, you have to know that there are some quite steep roads, and in tropical heat, it is quite hard to cycle around if you are not used to it. La Digue is a great option to have active or lazy holidays.

BEST BEACHES ON LA DIGUE

To get to some beaches on La Digue is quite a hike, but it is worth the sweat. We really liked Anse Cocos beach. On this beach, you can have vegan snacks and smoothies. You have to know that the beaches on La Digue are much different than the ones on Praslin. The waves and currents are very strong, so you have to be careful when swimming.

This was something I did not know about Seychelles, I thought that all the beaches here are perfect for swimming. The other really nice beach to visit is called Grand Anse beach, and this one is also not ideal for swimming because of the strong waves and currents.

On La Digue island there is the most famous beach in Seychelles called Anse Source d’Argent which is described as the most beautiful beach in the world. It is one of the famous attractions on the island and also the most visited. I must say that we were expecting more from this beach.

The water is not crystal clear, and it is so shallow that it is impossible for swimming. It is worth visiting the beach because the rock formations are beautiful, but it was definitely not the best beach on La Digue.

CRYSTAL WATER KAYAKING

This was our favourite activity on La Digue. Their groups are quickly full so contact them as soon as you know that you will be visiting the island. Crystal water kayaking is a 3-hour adventure-guided tour that includes: kayaking, coral viewing, beach time, and the most fun part: they teach you how to open a coconut.

They also showed us beaches that are full of dead corals because of global warming, which was actually heartbreaking. On this tour, we also saw some cute hermit crabs.

WHERE TO STAY ON LA DIGUE?

There are not a lot of different accommodations on La Digue. We stayed at Cocotier Du Rocher self-catering bungalows. These are cute bungalows hidden in a tropical garden that are very private and connected to nature. We loved the place, and we picked our first-ever avocado from one of the trees around the bungalow.

->Don’t miss out on this amazing accommodation!

If you are worried about choosing the wrong location on La Digue, you cannot. The island is so small that everything is always close by. My biggest advice for booking your La Digue vacation is to take a self-catering apartment so you can cook yourself a vegan meal at home.

VEGAN FOOD ON LA DIGUE

Most of the restaurants on La Digue offer at least one vegetarian meal a day, and usually, it is also vegan. There are only a few restaurants on the island, and they are all really expensive. Most tourists eat at very affordable local takeaway restaurants, and the food is fresh and delicious. Most of them have a few tables around where you can eat your food, and you can find vegan options.

GALA TAKEAWAY

Gala Takeaway was our favourite takeaway restaurant on La Digue. For a takeaway restaurant, it has a lot of tables outside and in the evening, all the tables are usually full because it is so popular. We tried vegetable curry and vegan fried rice with vegetables. Both were delicious!

REY AND JOSH TAKE-AWAY

They are offering vegetable curry and vegan lentils, and the owners are friendly and welcoming. These two vegan dishes are the ones that you will eat a lot of the time in Seychelles because most of the restaurants and takeaway restaurants offer them. On my holiday,s I ate a lot of vegan vegetable curries and Rey and Josh takeaway had the best one.

COCO BAR ON ANSE COCOS BEACH

Is a cute tropical bar on the Anse Cocos beach on La Digue. Getting to this beach is not the easiest in this tropical heat. They are offering many different refreshing drinks and some vegan snacks. We had a delicious and fresh vegan tropical smoothie and a fresh coconut to snack on.

BIKINI BOTTOM BEACH BAR ON LA DIGUE

Our favourite beach bar was Bikini Bottom on Anse Severe. Their fresh vegan smoothies were the best, and the staff was very friendly. It is a great place to stop by and have a vegan smoothie to enjoy while relaxing on the beach.

ZEROF TAKE-AWAY

They are offering the typical vegan food you can find on La Digue. We had some vegan curry and lentils with rice, but it was not our favourite.

JULIES’ TAKEAWAY

We found this take-away restaurant by accident on our last day on La Digue. It was quite a nice change because they were offering vegan noodles with vegetables.

GROCERY STORES HAVE SOME VEGAN OPTIONS

We found quite a few vegan items in the shops of La Digue Island. There are a lot of different kinds of vegan milk, different types of oats, pasta, and vegan tomato sauces. The only thing I was really missing and craving was vegan ice cream. I looked in every shop on La Digue but could not find even one.

Every morning, there is a fresh fruit market near the ferry. There we bought all our delicious papayas, bananas, mangos, and avocados. You can also buy your vegetables there. We found all the goodies for us to be able to make ourselves the best vegan food.

La Digue really is a special island that will stay in my memories forever. If you are craving a tropical getaway, this island really is the place. It is not a perfect destination for vegan foodies, but everything else makes up for that small detail. Laidback energy, lots of fresh air, tropical heat, beautiful beaches, and eating fresh fruit – La Digue is a definition of paradise. The best part about the island is that giant turtles are walking around freely.

Praslin is my favourite island in Seychelles. Out of all the islands in Seychelles that I visited, Praslin is the most vegan-friendly. It also has two of the most beautiful beaches that I have ever seen. You can visit a beautiful Nature Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site called Vallée de Mai. You can relax by the perfect beaches or hike around for amazing views. Praslin Island is the ideal destination for your holidays in Seychelles.

HOW TO GET TO PRASLIN?

When arriving at the international airport in Mahe there are two options on how to get to Praslin. The first one is to take the one-hour catamaran ride which is the most budget-friendly option. But keep in mind that the waves can get quite big and if you are easily seasick this is not the best option for you. On our way back I was so seasick that I could not wait for the boat ride to end.

The other and more expensive option is to take the direct flight from Mahe to Praslin with Seychelles Airlines. The flight is only 20 minutes long. Sometimes the luggage does not go with you because of the weight, but they will deliver it to your hotel on Praslin until the end of the day. If you are not seasic,k the best option is to go one way by airplane and the other way by catamaran so you can experience both.

WHERE TO STAY IN PRASLIN?

Praslin is offering many luxurious hotels that not all tourists can afford. Because the restaurants in Seychelles are so expensive, the best option is to stay at self-catering apartments. That way, you can cook some of your vegan meals at home and save money.

The most important tip for Praslin is to rent a car upfront. There are not enough rental cars available on the island, so as soon as you have your trip booked, make a reservation. A rental car offers you the freedom to move around the island wherever you want.

->Book your car rental here! Discover Cars has some of the best deals available.

That way, it is not important where your hotel is situated because every beach is easily accessible by car. You can also travel around Praslin on the bus, but it takes more time.

We found the most perfect self-catering apartment called Seashell Beach Villa. We were lucky that the sea-view apartment was available. It was very clean and comfortable, plus the view was perfect. The beach in front of the apartment is excellent for watching sunsets, just wear your mosquito spray because there are a lot of sand flies on Praslin.

WHAT TO DO ON PRASLIN?

You have to visit the beaches. Beautiful beaches are the whole point of visiting Seychelles, and Praslin has the best. My two favourites are Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette. Both have perfect, calm, turquoise water that is ideal for swimming. These are the best beaches that I have ever seen. If I knew that La Digue and Mahe do not have beaches as perfect, I would spend more time on them.

The best part about Praslin is also that if you get tired of relaxing on the beach, you can visit two unique nature parks or many hiking paths around the island. The most important one is the UNESCO World Heritage Site called Vallée de Mai.

There are famous Coco de Mer trees that naturally grow only on the islands of Praslin and Curieuse in Seychelles. The park has a nice, easy walk around the jungle. The other park worth visiting is Fond Ferdinand. This one can be quite challenging for older people because it is quite a hike in very high humidity and heat. But the views from the top are breathtaking.

You can take a full-day guided tour to see Vallée de Mai and Anse Lazio Beach.

VEGAN FOOD ON PRASLIN

Praslin is not the easiest destination for vegans, especially if you like to eat out. Most of the restaurants on the island are offering seafoo,d so finding vegan options is quite a challenge. We were lucky and we managed to find some restaurants that are offering vegan options.

ROOTS JUICERY – A FULLY VEGAN RESTAURANT ON PRASLIN

This is the only restaurant that we found that is fully vegan, and also my favourite. It is not a restaurant but a healthy juice and smoothie bar. Their philosophy is to make healthy vegan nutrition accessible across Seychelles. They are determined to create products that are guilt-free and packed with goodness. On their menu, you can find many fresh and healthy vegan juices and smoothies.

You can also buy their nut mylks and wellness shots. But my favourite were smoothie bowls. Roots Juicery was the only place making smoothie bowls I could find in the whole of Seychelles. I love to eat smoothie bowls in the tropical heat. The smoothie bowl that I tried was Island Sunrise. You can also buy their signature granola or snack on some bliss balls.

MA’S TAKEAWAY

It is a local takeaway restaurant on Praslin offering mainly seafood, but it also has one or two vegan options per day. You can have mixed salad, lentils fricassee, or vegetables with rice. Everything is really delicious, and because it is a take-away restaurant, the prices are very affordable. The good quality-price ratio in this restaurant was the reason that we visited it often.

THE NEST – RESTAURANT ON PRASLIN WITH VEGAN OPTIONS

The Nest restaurant is based inside the Constance Lemuria resort. You have to make a reservation, otherwise, they won’t let you inside the resort. To visit the beach Anse Georgette, you have to make a reservation at the same resort. So I recommend that you visit them on the same day.

This restaurant has an amazing view, and the decor is nice. Vegan dishes are specially marked on the menu. For our starter, we tried the vegan salad, and for our mains, we had vegan curry. The food was good, we really enjoyed our vegan lunch on Praslin.

VEGAN FRUIT PLATTER

On Praslin, the beach bars and restaurants are almost non-existent. Especially on Anse Georgette and Anse Lazio, you won’t find any proper vegan meals on the beach. Sometimes locals are selling drinks or fruit platters. We were very hungry one day at the beach and decided on a vegan fruit platter. It was very expensive but also pretty, and we were super hungry,y so for us at that time it was worth the price.

Most days, we were cooking in our apartment. In local shops, you can find some fresh and frozen vegetables. There are some vegan kinds of milk like soy, almond, and coconut. For breakfast, we usually cooked ourselves some oats with fresh tropical fruit. But other vegan goodies were hard to find. We did not find any tofu or vegan yogurt, but we did manage to find vegan pate. You can probably find vegan options in the most exclusive resorts on the island, but they are sadly out of our budget to try.

Praslin is definitely worth a visit. The locals are very friendly, the nature is beyond amazing. It is a dreamy tropical paradise. It is not the destination for vegan foodies, but even if restaurants are not offering vegan options, you can always cook yourself something vegan and delicious.

Seychelles is one of the most fascinating tropical destinations that you can visit. I always wanted to see the beautiful nature and beaches of these islands. Seychelles is expensive but it is also possible to travel on a budget.

I was worried about being vegan in Seychelles. It is not the easiest destination but it is not impossible to find vegan food on the islands. In this article, I will explain how and where to eat vegan in Seychelles.

MOST POPULAR ISLANDS IN THE SEYCHELLES

First of all, which island to visit? There are 115 islands in Seychelles but the biggest and most popular ones are Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue. I visited all of them and I recommend that you do too. I spend five nights on Praslin, four nights on La Digue, and four nights on Mahe.

When I go back to Seychelles, I will probably spend two nights on Mahe and more on the other two islands. I know it is different for anyone but Praslin and La Digue are really unique and beautiful. In Seychelles, you can find similar vegan options in most restaurants like vegetable curry and lentils. You can also get delicious fresh vegan fruit smoothies and juices on most of the popular beaches.

PRASLIN ISLAND IN THE SEYCHELLES

Praslin island in Seychelles has two beaches that blew my mind. I have never seen something so perfect. They are called Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette. The water is turquoise blue and calm, perfect for swimming.

On Praslin, you have to visit the nature park and UNESCO World Heritage Site called Vallée de Mai. There are famous CoCo de Mer trees that naturally grow only on the islands of Praslin and Curieuse in Seychelles. Praslin island was also the only one where I could find vegan smoothie bowls.

LA DIGUE ISLAND IN THE SEYCHELLES

Just a short 15-minute boat ride away there is La Digue island. La Digue island is one of the islands in the Seychelles where the cars are almost non-existent. Everybody rides bicycles around the island. It is the best way to explore beautiful beaches and nature.

To get to some beaches in La Digue is quite a hike but it is worth the sweat. We really liked Anse Cocos Beach but you can’t compare it to the calm beaches on Praslin Island. You have to be careful when swimming in La Digue because the waves and currents are very strong. I did not know this before visiting Seychelles.

MAHE ISLAND IN SEYCHELLES

Mahe island has the world’s smallest capital called Victoria and nearby you can visit Botanical Gardens. There are also many hiking trails around the island but at the time we were visiting (the end of March) it was too hot for us.

One of my favourite activities to do on Mahe was visiting the Takamaka rum distillery and their rum tasting. Two best beaches on Mahe were: Anse Intendance and Petite Anse but in my opinion, the best beach in those three islands of Seychelles has to be Anse Lazio on Praslin.

GROCERY STORES AND VEGAN FOOD IN SEYCHELLES

In Seychelles, we stayed at self-catering apartments. There was no breakfast so we had to explore local shops. Most of the markets have vegan milk which really surprised me. You can find almond, coconut, or soy milk but I could not find any vegan yoghurt or tofu. But we did find a vegan pate!

They have frozen and some fresh vegetables but it depends on the market. I was surprised by how hard it is to find fresh fruits and vegetables in shops. The best way to buy them is by road, there are many food stands selling fresh fruits and vegetables. When visiting the Capital Victoria you can also check the biggest fresh fruit and vegetable market in Seychelles.

VEGAN FOOD ON PRASLIN ISLAND IN THE SEYCHELLES

ROOTS JUICERY IS THE ONLY VEGAN RESTAURANT

Roots Juicery is a fully vegan juice and smoothie bar. Their philosophy is to make healthy plant-based nutrition accessible across Seychelles. They are creating food and products that are guilt-free and packed with goodness. At Roots Juicery you can order fresh vegan juices and smoothies.

They offer nut mylks, granola, plant-based snacks, and wellness shots. They are my go-to place for smoothie bowls on the island. Roots Juicery was the only place making smoothie bowls I could find in Seychelles at the time of our visit. It is my favourite food to eat in the tropical heat.

THE NEST – RESTAURANT WITH VEGAN OPTIONS

The Nest restaurant is based inside Constance Lemuria resort on Praslin. Reservation is a must, otherwise, they won’t let you inside the resort. You have to make a reservation at the same resort if you want to visit the beautiful beach Anse Georgette. It is best if you visit them both on the same day.

The ambiance, view, and decor in this restaurant are really nice. All the vegan dishes are marked on the menu. We ordered the vegan salad for our starter. After that, we had vegan curry. The food was good but on the pricier side. We really enjoyed our vegan lunch.

VEGAN FOOD ON LA DIGUE ISLAND IN THE SEYCHELLES

GALA TAKEAWAY

Gala Takeaway was a takeaway restaurant we visited the most on La Digue. Takeaway restaurants in Seychelles are the most budget-friendly, so most of the tourists eat there. We mostly ordered delicious vegetable curry and vegan fried rice with vegetables.

REY AND JOSH TAKEAWAY

They offer vegetable curry and vegan lentils. These two dishes are the most popular vegan options in Seychelles. Rey and Josh takeaway was one of the best ones.

The owners are friendly, so the atmosphere is great.

VEGAN FOOD ON MAHE ISLAND IN THE SEYCHELLES

PERRY’S GRILL

Perry’s Grill is an amazing restaurant on Mahe Island. We visited this restaurant twice because the owners were friendly and the food was delicious. They also have more vegetarian options than other restaurants. Most of the vegetarian options can be made vegan. Vegan Ratatouille was our go-to dish but you can also have vegetable skewers. You also need to try their tropical avocado salad.

MAHEK – INDIAN RESTAURANT WITH VEGAN OPTIONS

Mahek restaurant is an Indian restaurant on Beau Vallon Beach in Seychelles. On their menu, there is only vegetarian food. Many vegetarian dishes can be easily made vegan.

We tried Urulai Broccoli and Kai Korma. Urulai Broccoli was our favourite choice. The staff is really friendly and they know all about vegan food. The best time to visit this restaurant is at sunset.

HOW TO TRAVEL AROUND SEYCHELLES

You can stay at the resorts and relax or you can explore the islands by yourself. On Mahe and Praslin you have to rent a car because both islands are quite big and with a car, you can visit all the hidden parts. Make your car reservations as soon as you have your plane tickets because it is hard or almost impossible to find a car last minute. On Praslin, we were really happy with Capricorn car rentals.

Seychelles really is amazingly beautiful. It is one place you have to visit if you love beautiful tropical destinations even though there are not a lot of vegan options. If you are a foodie like me, that might not be ideal for your perfect holiday, but Seychelles are worth it.
