PUBLIC & VEGAN KITCHEN BLED
This vegan restaurant in Bled is one of the best options in the area. They offer a variety of patties that can be served in a burger or on a salad. If you opt for a burger, you can choose your bun and sauces.
They also have a selection of daily desserts, and you have an option to try the famous Bled cream cake made in a plant-based version. Being the only vegan restaurant near the lake, it can get very crowded in the summer.
RESTAURANT 1906
Located in the Hotel Triglav Bled, Restaurant 1906 offers a fine dining experience. They are mindful of dietary challenges and modern eating habits. They create dishes with minimal allergens, few ingredients, and authentic, intense flavours.
It is the only restaurant in Bled offering a 5-course vegan menu available every night. But this also makes it one of the most expensive options on our list.
TAVCI KUHNA X AYATANA DELI- VEGAN BLED
Located just a 10-minute drive from Bled, this vegan restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Their menu features a variety of plant-based burgers, wraps, and salads, along with several falafel dishes.
They also offer brunch with options like toast with vegan cheese, croissants, yogurt bowls, and smoothie bowls. Delicious desserts and smoothies are also available. In this restaurant, you can also try the famous Bled cream cake made in a plant-based version. It is a very popular place, so it is better if you make a reservation, especially if it is a weekend.
ARROI RESTAURANT
Arroi is a beautiful restaurant that blends Asian cuisines, focusing on Thai dishes prepared by Asian chefs. While the restaurant is not entirely vegan, they offer plant-based options, and most dishes can be made vegan.
Many dishes are available with tofu, but it’s best to confirm with the staff so they can ensure the dish is vegan. Their vegan pad Thai is delicious.
PIZZERIA GALLUS – VEGAN BLED
Pizzeria Gallus is located in the heart of Bled’s tourist area, offering great views of the town’s natural beauty. The menu includes two types of pizza with vegan cheese: one topped with vegetables and the other with vegetables and tofu.
For a lighter option, they also offer a salad with tofu.
RESTAURANT TRIPIČ
Located near Lake Bohinj, about a 20-minute drive from Bled, Restaurant Tripič is worth a visit if you’re exploring the area. They offer a separate vegan menu with a wide selection of dishes, including gluten-free options.

WHAT TO DO IN BLED
When travelling to Bled and planning to stay for a few days, we recommend renting a car to explore the area more fully. There are many sights worth seeing nearby.
Our favourite activity when visiting Bled is walking around the lake, which takes about an hour along a beautiful pathway right by the water.

You can also take a day trip to Lake Bohinj, another beautiful and even larger lake in this part of Slovenia. While buses are available, renting a car is the easiest way to get there.

BEST TIME TO VISIT
Bled is a perfect destination to visit in every season. In the summer, you can swim in the lake and go hiking and mountain climbing. But there are a lot of crowds during this time of the year. If you would like to experience Bled in the low season, visit it in January or February. It will be cold, but there are way fewer people and the accommodation can get much cheaper.
Vegan restaurants are open all year, so you will have options to find delicious food no matter when you decide to visit this Slovenian gem.
