WHERE TO STAY IN VENICE

If you are a luxurious traveller, Eight Venezia in Venice is the right choice for you. The hotel is super elegant with traditional and modern elements mixed together.

BEST VEGAN RESTAURANTS IN VENICE
CREPES HOUSE BY PEPE
This restaurant is one of the best-rated in Venice. It’s small and cosy, but they serve amazing vegan food.
They are famous for their sweet and savoury pancakes, which come in many different versions.
Our personal favourite is the savoury pancake with sweet and sour tofu, roasted vegetables, hemp seed pesto, tomatoes, and cabbage. This is definitely a place you should not miss when visiting Venice.
LA TECIA VEGANA
At La Tecia Vegana, you will find the best organic, vegan food in Venice. They offer tasty Italian dishes like risotto, lasagne, ravioli, and gnocchi, with some gluten-free options too.
Try their seitan roast, tempeh stew, or burgers. And don’t forget to save room for their delicious tiramisu. Make sure to book ahead for this popular spot!
DAL MORO’S IN VENICE
Dal Moro’s is our favorite go-to pasta place in the city. Tucked away in a small alley, it’s a hidden gem that’s incredibly popular. They have two vegan options available.
One option is the pasta with Calabrese sauce, made from extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and hot chili. The other choice is pasta with Napoletana sauce, a blend of tomato sauce with garlic, black pepper, and oregano. You can also add extra toppings such as olives, mushrooms, or garlic.
SALLALUNA IN VENICE VEGAN OPTIONS
It’s a cosy bookshop and café, serving up some amazing vegan choices. They make four types of croutons from wholemeal organic sourdough bread.
Their menu includes four different vegan plates, as well as coffee with oat, rice, or hazelnut milk options. And don’t forget to try their ice cream and desserts.
PIZZA WITH TOMATO: QUICK AND DELICIOUS
If you need a quick bite to eat, most bakeries or take-away pizzerias in Venice offer vegan pizza.
Topped with fresh tomato sauce and sometimes roasted vegetables, it is one of the best snacks you can find in Venice. Just double-check with the staff to ensure it is truly vegan.
GELATO FANTASY RIALTO
It is a gelato shop offering vegan cones, gelato, and toppings. It is the best spot for gelato, even in the winter months. Our favourite flavour is pistachio. They also serve vegan milkshakes.
ORIENT EXPERIENCE – VENICE VEGAN ORIENTAL FLAVOURS
Orient Experience is a cosy restaurant offering a variety of vegan dishes inspired by different Middle Eastern countries. From classic hummus and falafel to flavourful aubergine in tomato sauce and vegetable curry, their menu has something for everyone.
Do not miss their highlight: a vegan panna cotta.
H2NO VENECIA
H2NO Venecia is a lively bar known for its assortment of freshly made snacks, including a few vegan options.
During our visit, we discovered two delicious vegan sandwiches on offer, alongside a fantastic selection of beers. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cold brew with a tasty snack.
VGOLOSO VENICE VEGAN RESTAURANT
Vgoloso Vegan Restaurant is located outside the city centre, offering a range of classical Italian dishes alongside sushi options.
Highlights include pasta with pesto or carbonara sauce, as well as a seasonal lasagne.
LA MAISON DE LA CREPE – GELATO & CREPE SHOP
La Maison de la Crepe is a cosy ice cream and crepe shop in the heart of Venice. While they offer more gelato flavours in the summer, you can still enjoy mango and pistachio during the winter.
BRUNCH CAFE IN VENICE VEGAN OPTION
Brunch Cafe in Venice serves up breakfast and lunch with some vegan choices. Try their beetroot hummus, veggie spring rolls, gyoza, and avocado toast, which can be made gluten-free.
And don’t miss their simple yet delicious pizza marinara with tomato, olive oil, garlic, and oregano.
POKE SCUSE
It is a small poke bar offering one vegan poke bowl. Additionally, you have the freedom to customize your own bowl with a wide range of vegetable options.
FRULALA IN VENICE VEGAN

MISTER PIZZA
Located outside the city centre of Venice, Mister Pizza is a pizzeria that offers vegan mozzarella and provides the option to choose gluten-free dough.
FRARY’S IN VENICE VEGAN OPTIONS
Frary’s is a restaurant that specializes in Middle Eastern and Greek cuisine. You can have domlades and ask for them to be without yoghurt. But the best choices are the mixed vegan platter and falafels. Don’t forget to give them a try!
ITAL-INDIA RESTAURANT IN VENICE
It is a great dining spot in Venice. They have a separate vegetarian menu with vegan dishes like Pallak pakora, potatoes, and vegetable curry.
